If you need urgent medical advice during surgery hours, please phone the surgery on 01384 366155.  Please be prepared to give some information to the receptionist.

NHS 111

Alternatively you can ring the NHS 111 number for advice directly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Calls from landlines and mobiles are free.

Urgent Care Centre

The Urgent Care Centre is accessible through Russells Hall Hospital Emergency Department as of 01 April 2015. As of this date, all patients who think they may have an URGENT medical problem, should go to the Urgent Care Centre.

Emergencies – Call 999

Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest accident and emergency department or call 999.


Do not book a GP appointment if you have a fever (over 37.8 degrees) or new cough.

Stay at home and avoid close contact with other people for at least 7 days - people you live with will need to self-isolate for 14 days.
